FIRST VISIT: WHAT TO EXPECT

Welcome to Great Grins Dental. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional, comprehensive dental care with compassion and integrity in a friendly environment. We know many people have anxiety when it comes to the dental office, so we encourage you to express your concerns and fears from the beginning. At each appointment, we will extend every effort to lighten your anxiety while providing you excellent care.

Please allow 90 minutes for your initial visit. During your new patient visit, we will review your medical and dental history, take the necessary x-rays and intraoral photographs, complete a complimentary oral cancer screening, and examine your teeth. If time permits, your cleaning will be completed at this visit as well. Based on your information and x-rays, Dr. Shaw will then talk with you about a treatment plan that best meets your needs and goals.

REGULAR SIX-MONTH CHECKUPS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF KEEPING YOU AND YOUR SMILE HEALTHY.

According to the American Dental Association you should have regular dental checkups and teeth cleanings every six months to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

An average appointment can range between 40 and 90 minutes pending the type of cleaning, so don’t forget to consider this when scheduling an appointment. We know you’re busy, too.
