  1. Are you accepting new patients?

    Yes! We are currently accepting new patients and would love the chance to meet you.

  2. Do you take my dental insurance?

    We accept all PPO dental insurances; however, we are only in-network providers for Cigna, Delta, Metlife, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Guardian. We are happy to file your insurance claims for you and do our best to make sure you get fair coverage. Please see the financial page for more information.

  3. Do you have payment plans available?

    We offer CareCredit for no interest payment plans at your approved amount and time period. For our Invisalign patients, we have payment plans available.

  4. Do you still use the silver fillings?

    No! We are happy to be a mercury free office! All of the fillings we place in our office are tooth colored and bond to the existing tooth structure. Many people still have silver fillings from when they were younger that over time have led to a weaker tooth due to the unavoidable preparation design. With time, the edges of the silver fillings can wear down and/or break, allowing a cavity to form underneath the filling. Other properties of silver fillings are expansion which can cause the filling to split, leading to fractures within the tooth.

    Silver fillings contain 50 percent mercury and can corrode, leak, and stain both your teeth and gums. Luckily, we can esthetically replace them with fillings or crowns, which bond to the tooth structure and give your tooth some strength back.

  5. What type of services do you offer?

    We are a family dental office offering a wide array of dental services. We offer dental cleanings for all ages, deep cleanings, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, implant crowns, extractions, nightguards and removable appliances (dentures, partial dentures). We also provide cosmetic treatment including Invisalign, veneers, in office and take home whitening. We are always available 24/7 for dental emergencies. We work closely with specialists in all fields for cases that are out of our scope of practice. Please visit the "Services" section for details on these procedures.

  6. Why do I need to take dental x-rays every year?

    The frequency of x-rays is on a case by case basis. They are needed when indicated by Dr. Fossum to monitor the level of your bone and to check for cavities in between the teeth.

  7. Why are my teeth sensitive?

    There are plenty of reasons why teeth can be sensitive, including but not limited to cavities, gum recession, sinus infections and cracks in the teeth. it is best to consult with a dentist if you are experiencing any sensitivity to diagnose the issue.
