INFORMATION
FOLLOWING ENDODONTIC
(Root Canal)TREATMENT
Following
treatment, most patients experience relief form any previous
symptoms. For your treatment success, we have provided some
helpful hints and information that will help insure your
satisfaction.
AVOID
- Eating anything until your mouth wakes up.
SORENESS
- Some patients experience slight soreness after the procedure.
These symptoms should resolve within 24 hours to 48 hours.
SWELLING/SENSITIVITY
- It is possible to experience some swelling or pressure
sensitivity after treatment. If these symptoms persist more
than a few days, call our office.
MEDICATION
- Continue taking all prescribed medication as directed.
TEMPORARY/FILLING
- A temporary filling material has been placed to protect
your tooth from contamination between visits It is normal
for the filling to wear down,. Should it come out or you
notice an unusual taste, it is important to call our office,
the tooth could become infected.
SPECIAL
CARE - Be careful when chewing and avoid sticky foods
on the treated tooth until a permanent restoration is placed.
